About

MMS is the collective of Stockholm-based graphic designers Maryam Fanni, Matilda Flodmark and Sara Kaaman. Since 2012 they have engaged in research, writing and teaching on visual culture and graphic design technology and craft, focusing on womxn’s and labor history perspectives. Their methods often include oral history, archival work and Do-It-Together-experiments.

MMS are the editors of “Natural Enemies of Books – A Messy History of Women in Printing and Typography” (Occasional Papers, 2020) which has been translated to Portuguese (Clube do Livro do Design, 2022) and Finnish (Multipöly, 2024).
